A ticketing and loyalty app for Nigeria's largest cinema chain
iOS, Android and web apps with seat selection, Paystack payments, loyalty rewards and an operations dashboard for cinema staff.

The client
Filmhouse Cinemas — entertainment, Lagos, Nigeria.
The challenge
Customers were buying tickets through a slow mobile website that dropped them at payment, and the cinema team managed showtimes, promotions and loyalty points in separate systems. Filmhouse wanted one product its customers would actually keep on their phones.
What we did
We ran a two-week discovery with the marketing and operations teams, designed the product in Figma and built it with one shared backend.
- React Native apps for iOS and Android plus a responsive Next.js web app
- Showtimes, seat selection and food pre-orders synced with the cinema management system
- Paystack card and bank-transfer payments with instant e-tickets and QR check-in
- Loyalty points, promotions and push notifications managed from an admin dashboard
- Analytics and crash monitoring from day one
Results
The app launched on the App Store and Google Play two weeks after the first workshop. Within three months it accounted for more than half of ticket sales, with an average rating of 4.7 stars.
From discovery workshop to App Store launch in two weeks. The app does exactly what our customers asked for, and it has not gone down once.
